Study in the Netherlands
The Netherlands runs Europe's largest range of English-taught bachelor's programmes — a continental option with no second-language barrier.
How admission works
International applications go through Studielink (the national system) or each university's portal. HKDSE is assessed case by case; some programmes at research universities require a foundation year or strong electives — check each programme's entry profile. Numerus fixus programmes cap intake through national selection.
Qualification structure
Research universities: three-year bachelor's; universities of applied sciences: four-year vocational degrees with placements. Both are taught in English where advertised.
Visa and post-study
The university arranges your residence permit (fee plus proof of funds). Graduates can apply for the orientation year (zoekjaar) permit — 12 months of unrestricted work-seeking after graduation, per current IND rules.
