Study in New Zealand
New Zealand's eight universities all sit in the world rankings, admission is friendlier than its neighbours, and the country pairs study with a clear post-study work route.
How admission works
Apply directly to each university; there is no central system for international students. HKDSE, IB and A-Levels are accepted with published requirements; medicine and some health programmes have additional tests and capped international places.
Qualification structure
Bachelor's degrees typically run three years; some professional programmes longer. All eight universities are English-medium.
Visa and post-study
A student visa needs a confirmed offer, fees paid and evidence of funds. Graduates can apply for a Post Study Work Visa whose duration depends on the qualification level completed — per current Immigration New Zealand rules.
